Hi, I’m Michelle Silver-Bighorse. I’m a freelance photographer based in St. Michaels and Window Rock, Arizona, and specialize in portrait, sports, and landscape photography.

I am married to my best friend Max, and we are parents to two Pembroke Welsh Corgis and a quarterhorse-mustang.

Silverhatband Photography is a 100% Navajo-owned photography business.

I earned two bachelor's degrees, one in a Bachelor of University Studies from the University of New Mexico and the second in a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the University of Phoenix.

I was employed with the Navajo Nation government for 23 years until I left in 2019, and turned my photography hobby into a business.
